COGNIFOG Holds Its 7th Plenary & General Assembly Meeting in Paris
The COGNIFOG consortium gathered on 26–27 November 2025 in Palaiseau, France, for its 7th Plenary & General Assembly Meeting, hosted by CEA. This milestone meeting brought together all technical, scientific, and management teams to synchronise progress as the project enters its final phase.
Throughout the two days, partners collectively reviewed achievements to date, addressed remaining technical challenges, and aligned on the actions required for the upcoming review. The meeting provided a crucial opportunity to ensure coherence across all work packages—from architecture and component development to pilot deployments, impact creation, and standardisation activities. With the project’s pilots reaching advanced stages, this plenary served as an essential checkpoint to validate integration, refine workflows, and consolidate results ahead of COGNIFOG’s final demonstrations.
Day 1: Project Achievements & Trial Workshops
The meeting opened with a session dedicated to presenting COGNIFOG’s achievements, highlighting advancements across all work packages and the strong collaboration among partners.
In the afternoon, dedicated workshops were held for each of the three project trials:
Trial 1 – Urban Management
Trial 2 – E-Health
Trial 3 – Smart Manufacturing
Each trial workshop included a detailed presentation of the current implementation status, followed by technical discussions focused on integration progress, optimisation needs, and deployment readiness. These sessions were essential in ensuring alignment across technical teams as pilot execution intensifies.
The day concluded with a social dinner in Versailles, offering partners the chance to relax, exchange ideas informally, and strengthen team cohesion in a historic and inspiring setting.
Day 2: Technical Coordination & Final Preparations
Day 2 focused on consolidating technical progress and planning next steps. Partners reviewed:
- Updates on platform architecture and requirements
- Advances in core COGNIFOG components, including the application layer, AI-based data management, connectivity modules, security tools, and orchestration
- Integration progress, testing results, and validation plans for the pilots
- Impact creation activities covering dissemination, exploitation, and standardisation
- Management, ethics, and risk-handling updates
The meeting concluded with a synthesis session to align all teams ahead of the final evaluation phase.
Moving Forward
The 7th PGA meeting strengthened collaboration across the consortium and ensured that all partners are aligned as the project enters its final months. With pilot deployments progressing and platform components maturing, COGNIFOG continues to advance its mission to deliver an AI-empowered Edge–Cloud Continuum for next-generation cognitive computing environments.
