I2CAT and CYSEC Join Forces to advance IOT Security within COGNIFOG Project
The COGNIFOG project was proudly presented at i2CAT’s Winter PhD School 2024 on Advanced Internet Technologies, an event dedicated to fostering collaboration and innovation among doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and industry experts. Hosted at the Nexus Auditorium in Barcelona, this five-day program brought together some of the brightest minds in telecommunications, IoT, AI, and immersive digital technologies.
Highlighting the Cloud-Edge-IoT Continuum
As part of a dedicated session on IoT research and advancements, Antoni Adame, Senior R&D Engineer at i2CAT, gave an insightful presentation on the Cloud-Edge-IoT (CEI) Continuum. His talk emphasized the importance of intelligent resource management across distributed environments and introduced attendees to the COGNIFOG project, a cutting-edge Horizon Europe initiative that aims to revolutionize cognitive fog computing.
The presentation covered key elements of the COGNIFOG framework, including:
- Real-time data processing: How COGNIFOG enables the seamless integration of IoT devices, edge nodes, and cloud services for data-driven decision-making.
- Adaptive orchestration: The use of AI-based mechanisms to optimize resource allocation and reduce latency across heterogeneous environments.
